Hey everyone. So, it's a new year for everyone. 2008. Not as sharp as 2007, but it does have some punch to it.
New Years brings about many new things for an individual. Perhaps not for everyone, but for me at least. This year, I encountered just such a new thing. My selection of courses at NSCAD Universiy for the current semester went sour. Sour you say? How sour? Very sour. For some unknown reason most of my courses, though, I selected them on time, were in quotes, "unavailable" to me. Thus, I ended up taking 6 credits of my partial liking...to 9 credits of total shit. Wait, oh no swearing...ah, crap, yes, of total crap.
Anyways, so I dropped a good 6 credits this year and I am not too happy about it.
Why a University with such stature screws over their students, I wasn't the only one, I'll never know.
Anyways, that being said. Last semester was fantastic. I had a blast and learned a lot to boot. Not too bad. Ah, oh, news flash.
I was in Intro Computer Animation last semester, which was amazing by the way. Compared to other professional schools of animation it destroyed them all. I swear, I would have told other animation students to come to NSCAD if they weren't getting challenged enough. My instructor was that hardcore! I thought to myself, self, it's awesome to have a school that's not totally focused on a subject like that, but is of such a high quality that it can compete with insitutes that teach nothing but. Go NSCAD.
Oh man, so what did they do? Let me tell you. They cancelled the program. Woo. Genius. They cancelled all of the corresponding levels of that course. Just as I was going to take it. Not when I had registered for it though, after all the courses were said and done. So, bascially, I lost 6 credits worth out of 15 and was placed in another batch of courses to equal it out. Yaaaaay right? No.
So, currently I am taking 9 credits in university, as I had to drop the other 6 they placed me in. As long as they have my money right? Why does it matter to him what courses we place him in. He only wants a piece of paper saying he's been here for 4 years. Psssh.
I go to university because I believe it will propell my knowledge and skills upward toward professionalism. This is bull, plain and simple.
Well, anyways, that aside again. I still have a bucket load of content to upload here, so stay tuned. You won't regret it.
Later for now.
